Year 4 Roman Finish

On the 11th December, year four became Romans for the afternoon in order to celebrate the Romans defeating Boudicca and her Celtic army. The children dressed up in their costumes and began the afternoon by playing some traditional Roman games, like draughts and dice games. They then went outside and practised some Roman army drills. After that, they tried some Roman food, including: bread, honey, dates and chicken.

To end the day, they discussed what needed to be changed in order to ensure that the Celtic uprising did not reoccur.
